TURNING FREELANCE IN 2007 LED HIM TO DESIGNS NUMEROUS PROMOS AND COMMERCIALS FOR LEADING ACTS AND BRANDS THAT INCLUDED THE STREETS, BICARDI AND X BOX. MOVING INTO LONGER FORM MATTHEW BECAME CLIO BARNARD'S REGULAR COLLABORATOR DESIGNING THE DOCU DRAMA THE ARBOR, THE OSCAR WILDE INSPIRED THE SELFISH GIANT AND THE TAUT FAMILY THRILLER DARK RIVER STARING RUTH WILSON. PROJECTS COMING SOON INCLUDE ANDY NYMAN & JEREMY DYSONS HORROR ANTHOLOGY GHOST STORIES, STEPHEN MERCHANTS WRESTLING BIOPIC FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY AND NETFLIX ORIGINAL SERIES THE INNOCENTS STARING GUY PEARCE. 

MATTHEW CONTINUES TO BE VARIED IN HIS CHOICE OF PROJECTS, MIXING BETWEEN EPISODIC TO FEATURE TO SHORT FORM. HIS DESIGNS HAVE FEATURED IN BAFTA AND EMMY AWARDS WINNING PROJECTS. 

HE BELIEVES IN BEING TRUTHFUL TO THE SCRIPTS AND EXPLORING HOW CLOTHES CAN HELP FORM CHARACTERS AND TELL STORIES.
